We call her Missy. She is our Saint Bernard puppy and she is a sweet heart. We got her in the summer of 2001 . She is a long-haired St. Bernard and an amazing attention hound. We hope to breed her and Baker and have lots of cute little St. Bernards. At 4 months she weighted 55 lbs. She is two year old now and 120 lbs. She is very strong and it is amazing how spiteful and destructive she can be when she is upset. She is very smart and learns quickly, so we are very proud of her. She is our baby. Her best friend, besides Baker and Angel, was Lucky the cat. In the fall of 2001 she got hit by a car. It about made us go out of our minds. I let her out to go to the bathroom. Then we all heard miss Angel crying. Tasha ran out to see what was going on, but could not see Missy. Tasha went out to the road and there she was laying along side the road crying. The person that hit her never stopped. Tasha had a friend up from Florida and he helped us get her into the van to the vets. It did not help that it happened on a Sunday afternoon. I had to hunt for a vet to come in on a Sunday. When we got her there we had to leave her. That was the first time we ever left her any where other than home while we went to work. Missy's pelvis was broken in two spots. Tasha and I had to keep her quite for over 4 mouths. It was like trying to keep a two year old from not moving at all. She is doing a lot better now. She would not even get in the car by herself so I had to pick her up every time we wanted to take her out. She would not go up or down the front steps by herself so I had to go out with her and pick her up every time she had to go in or out. She had me good, we knew she could do it by herself , but she just liked daddy to help her. Fortunately she finally decided to be more independent. She loves all of us so much and we love her with all of our hearts.

The new year (2003) brought a big bang for us. Missy had her first litter on New Year's Day. She had 12 puppies unfortunately three of the pups did not make it. We brought her to the vet the day before to make sure every thing was going good for her. We were not sure if she was going to be able to have the pups with out a C section because of the car accident hurting her so bad. We talked to the vet about having a C section done on her the next day. But she had us fooled . Everything was going good until around 7 at night when she went into labor. Carey called the vet to find out what we needed to do for her. The vet told us that if she was delivering them just let her . She had nine pups, but she just got so tired . We had to take her to the vet the next day. The three pups that Missy had not delivered on her own are the ones that did not make it. We had a lot of fun with the other 9 puppies and all of them got good and loving families.
