Angel

Angel was a 13-year old Rottweiller.  She has been part of my (Carey's) family since she was 6-months old.  She was a very lovable dog and a joy to be around.  She was almost as big an attention hound as the St. Bernards, although a little shyer.  She was a black and mahogany dog and weighted around 70 lbs.  She was a beauty.

She loved to take all the toys and hide them from Missy. She had some weird habits, for instance,  she liked to dig though her food to see if we had put any good stuff on the bottom of the bowl. That could make a really BIG mess when she was in the house. For some reason she loved to follow me around the house.  She did not like to share her food at all, but she loved to see if the other dogs' food was any better then hers.

She was one of a kind.  In late June of 2003 we found out that Miss Angel had a tumor in her and she was getting real sick.  Tasha and I had to make a very big decision on what to do for her.  We prayed about it and we both thought it would be the best for her  to be put to sleep. It was very hard and it took a long time to get over it.  Not seeing her out in her pen in the morning when I went to work was like a big gap in my day not  saying good morning to her.  Tasha knew how hard it was on me in the morning.  I came home one night and Tasha had her mom's goat with her. The goat's name is Tinka. Tasha's mom could not keep Tinka anymore. You would not believe how much this little goat helped me stop missing Angel so much.
