Hope

Hope is a rescue cat.  We were out late one night with some friends, and on the way home, we found Hope and her four kittens in the middle of the road.  Naturally we couldn't leave them there.   Hope is a very dark gray and black tabby with fabulous golden eyes.  Three of her kittens were solid black while one was identical to Mom.  We named the black kittens Tiny Tim, Runt-Runt, and Lucky.  The tabby we called Copy Cat or CC.  We still have Hope and Lucky.  Check Lucky's page for the rest of this story.  Homes were found for the rest of the kittens as well as two other kittens I had found weeks earlier at almost the exact same spot in the road.  Momma cat , our nickname for Hope, seems to have gotten together with Buster , because she just had three kittens in early October of 2001, one of whom we named Custer and he is the very image of Buster.  The kittens were awfully cute.  One, we called Zed is pure black, and the other is a grey tabby, lighter than Hope.

In late October, Hope decided to cross the road and did not make it.  My Father (Carey's) found her and buried her.  She left three unweaned kittens.  We had to call in the services of KIT (not to be confused with Kitkat)  from Tasha's Mother.  KIT had some Kittens of her own to be weaned and the whole crowd moved in.  Including the kitten that would later be known as Noodlehead.  The kittens all survived and went on to find homes.  He miss Hope very much.  She was a beautiful cat with a winning personality.
