Grandma
Her real name is Princess. I (Tasha) got her in 1991. She and her brother came to my family through some friends of my older sister while we where living in Florida. Her brother did not stay around very long, but she stayed around for a quite a while. She was the best cat I have ever had. My little sister has Princess's daughter. Her name is KIT. Cat. KIT stands for Kitten In Trouble. When KIT had her first litter, Grandma was right there helping her with everything. Princess loved to go fishing with me. Her way of fishing involved taking off with one or two of my things. One of them would be the bread I was using for bait and the other would be the fish I caught. Sometimes she would not give me time to even get the fish off the hook. When my mom and dad moved up to Tennessee, I though Princess would run off like most cats. She was not a indoor cat, she loved the outdoors. She loved to hunt and show off what she had caught. She took the move well though, and she saw snow for the first time.
Well this is where it starts getting bad. My mom and dad had some new people move in next door. The new neighbors had some very big dogs. Princess would take on dogs, at least all the dogs we had, but these were not like our dogs. These dogs where pit bulls. The dogs come over and killed two of KIT's kittens and went after Princess. She might have got away if there was only one, but there where two of them. One of the dogs got her tail and pulled it very hard. She suffered nerve damage on her tail. She could not help going to the bathroom all over herself. My dad wanted me to take her home with me, so I did. She was doing really well for about a year. Then she just started going down hill. I could not get her tail taken off, she was just to old to be put under anesthesia. When she got really bad in Sept of 2002 her bowels became badly blocked and I had no choice, I had to put her down. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. But she will always be in my heart and Carey's too. We will miss you Princess :(
